Safety at Quantico Shooting Club
Safety at Quantico Shooting Club
Quantico Shooting Club's number one priority is safety. Our Club has a very agressive safety program designed to educate our membership and train qualified Range Safety Officers (RSOs) to oversee Club activities. Quantico Shooting Club works closely with our USMC hosts to provide a safe experiance for all, but safety is everyone's responsibility -- both members and their guests. You will find range safety information below. We are committed to encourage and ensure safe small arms handling and storage practices and good sportsmanship. View the safety information below and contact a Range Saftey Officer if you have any questions.

Pending further investigation, Caesar Guerini Summit model shotguns are restricted from QSC events.

New QSC Range Safety Officer candidates need to complete two courses: (1) USMC Level 1 RSO Course (This course does not expire), (2) Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico OIC/RSO Course (This course is good for 2 years). New RSOs are required to attend a 4-5 hour Range Safety Orientation and work with a current RSO for at least one range opening before opening ranges on their own. RSOs that have not opened a range in some time MAY also be asked to update their knowledge base by attending the orientation and/or mentoring session(s) before opening ranges for QSC. Links to training are available below to assist you in meeting your requirements.
