Membership

According to the Quantico Shooting Club by-laws, the Board of Directors may approve Quantico Shooting Club, Inc membership for U.S. citizens, who are legally eligible to possess or use firearms (individually or with adult supervision), and live within a 60 mile radius (download map for your use) of Quantico (per our MOA) in the following categories:

Regular. To become a Regular Member (the Primary Member), an applicant must be part of one or more of the following three categories:

• A member of any branch of the Armed Services (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force), whether Active Duty, Reserve or Retired.

• A Civilian employee of the Department of Defense

• Any Dependent Family Member of the Primary Member that is considered a dependent by the IRS.

You will help the club in its efforts to succeed on board MCB Quantico, if you sign up for a Family Membership. Please take the time to list all Dependent Family Members and fill out the appropriate Waivers of Liability, regardless of age or their desire to participate in recreational shooting.

Per our current MOA with MCB Quantico, we can no longer provide Regular Membership Status to former POWs, Purple Heart recipients, and veterans who served in combat zones, who do not fall within the above three categories.

Associate. Any person (civilian) who is sponsored by a regular member, approved by the Board of Directors and has paid the prescribed dues. Civilians may join the Club but their membership cannot equal more than 1/3 of the total Club membership.

Membership Ratio. According to our bylaws, Quantico Shooting Club must maintain a ratio of two-thirds Regular Members to one-third Associate Members. The Operations Officer manages this ratio and processes associate membership applications when positions become available. If positions are unavailable, the Operations Officer adds associate members applications to the waiting list based on the date and time of receipt.

Membership Fees. Quantico Shooting Club endeavors to keep membership fees low to maximize Club participation by active duty and other regular members. In turn, this expands our pool of associate membership that may join the Club. If you have any questions about membership fees please contact the Operations Officer.
